This script will save what user type in a cookie and populate throughout the funnel.
How to set it up
Setting up is simple, just copy the below code and add it to a funnel wide or per page tracking code. If you want to collect data from say an opt-in page and populate them in an order form, you’ll need to set up the code in both of the pages.
Setting it up funnel wide
I recommend this as it’s a set it and forget method. When you’re inside funnel’s edit screen, navigate to “Settings”
Paste the code inside “Body Tracking Code”
Don’t forget to save, you can find the “Save And Update Settings” in bottom of the page (need bit of scrolling)
Per page set up
If you prefer not to set up the script throughout your entire funnel, you can only make sure certain pages are collecting and populating fields. Do do that, go to page editor,
Go to “Tracking Code”
Paste the code in “Footer Code”
Close the popup and save the page.
That’s it! You will see your data being saved throughout the funnel.
The way the script works is, it cookies all the form field data and try to populate if it exists in cookies. This is done by matching field’s name. To make sure field names are intact, set your input field types correctly.
Example, in my first opt-in page I am setting the input type of the field to “Full Name”
Now I will need to make sure, that in my other pages I am setting the name field to “Full Name”
